Meet Louise Bourassa, the woman who keeps Riau running smoothly! Louise joined Riau Canada in October 2021 as Director of Operations and Marketing. The company’s mission to help those who have fallen on hard times “Bounce back with honour” speaks to her at this stage of her life. She saw this role as a perfect opportunity to put her 30 + years of management experience to use in a way that gives back to the community.
Louise spent over 30 years with Bell Canada, a telecommunications company, but has truly done it all. Engineering, operations management, sales, customer service, finance–you name it, she’s done it!
Louise has a wealth of consulting experience in the public, entertainment and services sectors and has spent a number of years working in unionized workplaces, allowing her to put her mobilization and collaboration skills to good use. In fact, she was the first woman in Quebec to oversee a team of specialized, unionized technicians.
Before joining Riau Canada, she worked on implementing a detailed candidate screening process ahead of the next Quebec provincial election.
After leaving Bell Canada, she embarked on a new adventure–obtaining an Executive MBA from McGill-HEC Montréal. She graduated from the program in 2019 and also holds a certificate in Business Administration from Université du Québec.
