Over the holidays, we gave our Riau scented candles to various senior citizens, some who were retired and lived at home, and others who were in long term care facilities. All were delighted to receive one of our scented candles and gave us the following positive feedback:
- The candle is “like another life” in the room and made them feel less alone. The flame uses oxygen to keep going and it felt like another living thing. Like there is another presence in the room (not to spook anyone!).
- The scents bring back nice memories of things they like and make them feel good. Whether it was a floral scent like “Wild Rose” or “Bouquet of Freesia”, or a sturdier one like “Spice Market” or “Coffee Cream”, they elicited nice memories.
- When they lit the candles, it made them think of the giver and were reminded that someone cared and had thought of them.
